First Post....and Spring is Here!
An idea came to me at the beginning of the year that I thought a great one. I even thought of it as a possible resolution for 2009. The idea was to send family a monthly update (hard copy, mind you) of the happenings here at the Bowman Homestead. Well, I knew better than to make such a commitment, and you see that it is already March and nothing doing. There was one version of the Bowman Chronicles that made it out for Ella's 5th birthday - so proud of myself! But instead of the wonderful hard copy version, I've decided to join the blogging world to update our dear family and friends, near and far, on our adventures and to post pictures so you can see the growth of our little (okay, big) bundles, Ella Grace and Roone Jesse. Oh, and since I love reading, movies and baking I'll probably be sharing about those things as well!
The photo with the header is the most recent of the Bo Fam taken Sunday at Loose Park. The first day of Spring was Friday and we took to the park to celebrate.
At our home the first signs of Spring are the Forsythia bushes in bloom. I love, love, love these bushes. They were given to us by dear Grandma Jane from clippings of her Forsythia bushes when she and Grandpa lived in Osceola. We (Jess!) planted them when we first moved into our home, the same time we were expecting the arrival of our Ella. Sweet memories! So, enjoy the picture of the Forsythia...one of the first signs of Spring!
