Lilac Bush in Bloom

The first year I celebrated Mother's Day, way back there in 2004, Jesse bought me a lilac bush. Each Spring since we have anticipated the blooms on our bush. We anticipated in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Jesse is very kind to plants, in that even if they don't perform like they are supposed to he is sure they will one day. I, on the other hand, am ungraciously wondering what's wrong with this thing?!?! Well, well, well here we are in Spring 2009 and my Mother's Day Lilac Bush is performing wonderfully! There are 15+ fragrant blooms for us to enjoy, and I just had to bring nature inside so there are 2 blooms cheering me as I work in the kitchen! Aren't they beautiful? Just one more lesson in patience...
