Quiet Blanket of Snow
In contrast to the swirling, whirling, dipping, diving snow given to us earlier this Winter, yesterday a gentle, calm snow fluttered steadily down. The former snowfall came with great gusts of wind and unwelcoming cold temperatures. However, yesterday's snowfall brought with it no wind and mild temperatures. The children and I happily bundled up to enjoy the gift.
The Burning Bush transformed to a Snow Bush
The Garden Teepees awaiting to be adorned
with Veggie Vines in the Summer
Ella having a Snow Snack, as she calls it.
The Snow Dog, Arwen, running like made around the yard,
so excited we're playing with her.
And yes, that is a streak of soot on her face.
It gives her a wild look, don't you think?
And here is my Snow Bear throwing a
snowball at the resident Camera Lady.
Is there no mercy?!
As a side note I've been thinking on this lately:
"If thou indeed derive thy light from Heaven,
Then, to the measure of that heaven-born light,
Shine, Poet! In thy place, and be content..."
-William Wordsworth-
I love that thought. Shine, Rachel!
