daily vegetable serving
For most of the month of May we enjoyed a spinach and/or lettuce salad each evening with dinner. The weather is turning hot, which means the greens begin to taste bitter, and also wilt easily. Soon we will clear the lettuce beds and prepare them for the brussels sprouts and kale to be harvested in early fall.
Just yesterday we discovered our bush bean plants producing good size beans, so we have begun having a side of these with our dinner. First greens, now green beans; hopefully tomatoes and cucumbers will be next to produce for our dinners.
