This past weekend my husband picked up four Barred Rock chicks from Heartland Hatchery.

We now have a chorus of sweet chirps echoing in our garage! They will stay in the garage under a heat lamp until they are large enough to live in the outdoor coup, two months or so.

It's fun having new baby critters in our home again to care for, and will be nice to have their fresh eggs, of course, in about four-five months.
