spring so far

Spring so far has been a wonderful mix of sunshine and warmth weather with sprinklings of showers here and there to keep the rain barrels full and the garden watered. Blooms are abundant, our transplants are happy and living (which you wonder when you move plants from place to place) and we have 19 tomatoes planted, 12 of which are Roma varieties (I have dreams of a freezer full of sauce). New recipes have been tried, sugar cookie bars, anyone?, dried banana peels are feeding the roses, and we have suspicions that two of our new "hens" are actually roosters. Our first clue was that they were acting mean...yikes! These full days consist of our regular schooling routine with evenings spent outside until dark stretching long limbs, nourishing the body with fresh air. Spring, as always, is my favorite.
