blooms + legos

Jesse began a new job today, and with having some days off in between jobs we've had fun as a family going on adventures together.

On my Want To-Do List this Summer was to go to Powell Gardens, obviously because of the bloom factor but also because they are featuring Lego sculptures throughout the gardens. This is called a win-win, for the adults and the children.

My favorite memories of this time, besides viewing the wondrous blooms, are of Ella enjoying the gardens while listening to her music, Roone hanging from a pergola and strolling through the paths with my husband.

We arrived early to avoid the sweltering Midwestern heat which made our time that much more enjoyable. It's a bit of a drive to these gardens since it has a rural location quite a distance from our main metro area, but I never regret going once we are there.
