sunday beauty ~ althea blooms

After growing in our front yard for about ten years,

we transplanted this Althea tree last fall.

It's a bit of a risk to do this!

You never know if an established plant, especially a tree,

will be happy with the move and survive.

This Spring we could tell the tree survived,

but didn't get our hopes up for blooms its first year in the new location.

However, bloom it did!

I'm so thankful,

as it's one of my favorite blooms in our yard

and with its new location in the back yard 

I can enjoy it more than when it was in the front.
