The End of the Month

This past week has tied a bow on the gift of October.

We harvested our final tomatoes.

We are reaping Fall lettuce.
(This is our first time to plant
lettuce in the Fall - it's nice to have!)

The garden is cleared for the Winter.

We gathered pumpkins
and now have roasting to do.

The kids got spooky.
Okay, more cute than spooky.
(My little guy is in the middle of a "buzz.")

Good-bye sweet October.
The days are getting darker.
The air is getting colder.
I welcome these quiet, slow days
as Winter approaches.
