The Fly Bush

"Affectionately" known as the Fly Bush
my mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law
gave us this (huge) bush last year.
It was a transplant from their yard,
and we weren't sure it would survive the move.

This Spring more than one leaf turned yellow and died
making me wonder if we'd hold onto the view of this
waxy, green beauty.

Well, the Spring rains and compost were just
what she needed, and now she is back to her
shining glory.

And the flies have returned.

For some reason the bush attracts flies,
not hoards, mind you,
but just enough to make you wonder...
