an alternative

So I adore baking from scratch.

Do I always bake from scratch? No.

I made a cake last week. From a box. Devil's food cake. Quick and easy.

I like making cakes and then drizzling a simple icing. This time around? Melted peanut butter.
Again, quick and easy.

Aren't the brown on brown colors great? A wonderful complement to the season.

(FYI...I substitute melted, unsalted butter when the box recipes call for vegetable oil.)
