handmade: a wall book bin

Here are the photos of the Wall Book Bin my husband made as a birthday gift for my daughter. She loved the gift, and now has a handy place next to her bed for her books. In this picture are some books she received for her birthday:
  • Hans Brinker or The Silver Skates by Mary Maples Dodge
  • The Tanglewood's Secret by Patricia St. John
  • The Door in the Wall by Marguerite de Angeli

Here are some close-ups of the work my husband did to give the edges a smooth, curvy look:

I adore how this project turned out, and it really was easy, simple, quick and affordable costing at just under $12 (although we did already have paint on hand). With each new project we take the time to think our steps through, be creative with what we have and are rewarded with an affordable, beautiful, practical piece for our home and family.
