I remember the feel of biking as child being such a freeing, independent experience.

We haven't taken a family bike ride on a favorite trail this year, yet, but my children have been having fun riding on the street, a first for them! It's a big deal to ride on the street, you know. They get this luxury during the day ( a perk of homeschooling ) when the roads are nice and clear. The beautiful weather is beckoning me for one of those family rides, though. I just need to put "fix Rachel's bike tire" on my husband's to do list.
