looks like spring...now

I provide one photo to record the May snowfall we had late last week. The white stuff has now melted, and the potatoes survived, as did all our other plantings. The wet snow was heavy on the bushes, and would have broken some branches, but the resident head gardener (my husband) dutifully shook the branches two times throughout the snowfall and they look none the less for the snowstorm.

So, but for a chill in the air, it looks and feels like Spring again. With all our rain the chore of watering has been taken away, now we just need sunshine to warm up the earth and beckon those seeds and plants to grow!
