autumn hunting and fishing

May the holes in your net
be no larger
than the fish in it.
Irish Blessing

My husband took some time recently to go deer hunting,
and returned with a bag full of Crappie fish!
(He also brought home the venison.)

This is the idyllic location in North Central Missouri from which he caught the fish.
I don't mind sometimes living vicariously through his adventures,
and am thankful he was able to take some time for this experience.

Hunting and fishing are relaxing past times for my husband.
As the official food manager of our home,
it's a great blessing for me to have this fish and venison
to stock our freezer.
He is now interested in turkey hunting in the Spring,
which I am more than willing to encourage.
