this and that

I woke up this morning to thunder, but the weather has since turned to a soft rainfall gracing the earth.

It is finally Spring.

We spent the weekend outside, turning dirt, planting seeds, clearing brush, running, playing, becoming sun-kissed (evidence by rosy cheeks).

"Finally," we sigh.

The indoor Forsythia branches bloomed full,

and now we transition to enjoy the outdoor Forsythia bush.

The Magnolia and Lilac might showcase their own beauty soon enough.

These days are a steady rhythm of schooling and homemaking and work accented by refreshing moments outdoors. And in the evenings we wind down, take time to be together, sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, always good.
