My children adore their dad.

He isn't perfect, but he is committed to being present, kind, diligent, loving, sacrificial, honest, faithful.

It's been my privilege to watch him grow in the role of father; and he would say he's learned from the best, God the Father.

Some Bible verses Jesse holds close are:

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth for his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 1:1-3

Jesse has prioritized learning what the Bible says about being a loving, faithful father and cast aside advice or influence that would discourage him from being so. There are many opportunities as adults that compete for our time and attention, but I've learned from Jesse how to take life slow, take care of who is before me and enjoy the investment and relationship.

It's an amazing responsibility, being a parent. I'm glad to be partnered with him on this journey.
